Selection of candidates for places in the Bachelor of Education ATE program track is based on review and evaluation of academic transcripts, supplementary materials, and the ATE Personal Statement of Experience essay (PSE). For information on the ATE PSE, click here and scroll down to "Aboriginal Teacher Education (ATE) PSE". In addition to meeting the Teacher Education admission requirements, applicants to the ATE program are required to submit the following ATE Supplemental Material:

Please complete the online ATE Applicant Information Form. The information collected is kept confidential and is used to maintain data on Aboriginal admissions. |

2. Letters of Aboriginal Community Support |
Submit reference letters from two respected members of your Aboriginal community (e.g., Elders, Community Leaders, Work Supervisors, Social/School Counsellors, Educators, Director of local Friendship Centres) to support your application to the ATE program. The referees must be able to comment on:
Only original letters, containing original signatures, will be accepted. Letters are to be sent by the referee directly to the Education Registrar at the address below. Note: Photocopies or fax copies of the letters will not be accepted and discarded.
