Faculty of Education Funding

Graduate Student Funding

Student research is considered a priority and is supported by competitive funding for Graduate Studies.

Elliott/Upitis/Bamji Travel Fellowship - Faculty Members

The Elliott/Upitis/Bamji Travel Fellowships will be awarded to Queen’s Education faculty members for study outside Canada in the field of teacher education or related fields. Awards may also be made to faculty members from outside Canada to enable them to come to Queen’s Faculty of Education to work with Queen’s Education faculty members and students in the field of teacher education or related fields.

SEED Research Grants

SEED Research Grants will be provided for a significant new initiative or a new development in an existing research program. It is expected that normally at least 50% of the funding would be used to support graduate students as research assistants.

Community Outreach Centre Funding

Community Outreach Centre Funding will be provided to support research and innovative projects that seek to answer questions or investigate implementations related to faculty research interests and that complement, supplement or extend the mission of the Community Outreach Centre, i.e., working and learning together to expand the opportunities, strategies and resources available to help teachers, families and caring volunteers improve children’s learning in literacy, mathematics, science and technology.
