Dr. Don Klinger, a member of the Assessment and Evaluation Group (AEG) at the Faculty of Education, commented on the results of the Pan-Canadian Assessment Program's 2010 assessment in an article by Tori Stafford in the Kingston Whig Standard on December 5.
The assessment shows that girls have surpassed boys in science and are on par with boys in math.
Dr. Klinger noted that there has been a slow shift in science scores, but the math scores reflect a trend that has been developing over the past 25 years. The improvement of girls scores in relation to boy's is "quite a complex question."
