Imperial Oil Foundation Continues to Support Community Outreach Centre
The Imperial Oil Foundation continues their support of the
Faculty of Education Com munity Outreach Centre with the 2011 installment of $120,000 on their $600,000 pledge.
The on-go
ing support means that in 2011-12 the Community Outreach Centre will be able to continue funding community agency research projects, provide mathematics, science and literacy courses for parents, sponsor Alternate Practicum experiences, host p
ublic education events, and develop new partnerships (including LET'S TALK SCIENCE) which will support learning in math, science, technology and literacy.
Project eval
uations will continue and Drs. Lynda Colgan and Nancy Dalgarno are actively seeking other funding and writing papers for publication that describe the results of the Centre's work.
