Financial Support, Fees, and Awards

Full-Time M.Ed. Students

There is currently no minimum funding guarantee for full-time Master's students enrolled in Master's programs at Queen's University.  However, the Faculty of Education makes an effort to ensure that all eligible full-time first and second year students who enrol in the M.Ed. program in the Faculty, and apply for funding as part of the application process, have access to an average of approximately $10,000 for each of the two years. This funding is made up of: provincial and national fellowships, research and/or teaching assistantships, as well as awards and bursaries. We strongly urge you to investigate all sources of support for which you may be eligible.

Full-time international students who are offered admission into the M.Ed. program will receive an additional bursary of $5,000 in each of the first two years of the program. This will effectively reduce the international tuition fees to approximately the same level as that paid by students with Canadian or landed immigrant status.

First year students who hold a CGS Masters Scholarship upon initial registration in the M.Ed. program will receive $5,000 top up from the School of Graduate Studies. Also, first year students who hold an OGS will receive up to $5,000 in additional funding ($5,000 will be in the form of an award, TA, or RA, or a combination of all three.) Please visit the Office of the University Registrar site for information on tuition fees. This funding is made up of: provincial and national fellowships, research and/or teaching assistantships, as well as awards and bursaries.
