Currently there are 198 graduate students studying at the Faculty of Education:

  • 81 full-time and 54 part-time M.Ed. students (including 17 AWIES students)
  • 62 full-time and 1 part-time Ph.D. students

Our graduate students receive individual attention in small classes and they are mentored by their supervisors, advisors and other faculty members. For information about our graduate students, their activities and mentors, see:

Our graduate students benefit from the Info Sessions and resources provided by our Graduate Studies and Research Office. Some examples of the information sessions we offer to our students are:

  • Applying for external funding
  • Making a conference presentation
  • Navigating the ethical review process
  • Job search strategies


In addition, our graduate students are eligible for  funding and awards offered by the Faculty.  The Faculty and University also provide a number of student services:

    Some resources provided by the Graduate Studies and Research Office, such as sample applications for Ontario Graduate Scholarships and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), are located in the Graduate Studies Resources course in the Faculty's learning management system Desire2Learn.
